I may have inadvertently lied in the last post. I said in that post that, that discovery led to the creation of this website\blog. This revelation was the event that sent me scurrying to setup a website\blog. How do I now know this definitively? Because I have no research on this topic. I literally found two “Tells” right after discovering the geographical land image, survived the subsequent heart attack and ran to disseminate this glorious new finding. And now after of month of this website\blog being online, Ive finally got around to it. To quickly rectify this oversight, I’ll shut up and present to you; Poseidon!!! Or the geographical series of land features that I believe the Poseidon myth to be based upon!!!

How I found Poseidon:

1. It is actually quite amazing how I found this land image. I wasn’t even researching Poseidon. From my notes, I was researching more constellation stuff, specifically the Aries constellation I guess. Here is the entry from my notes and a link to the page:

“Aries . . . the first sign of the zodiac, is also known as the Ram. In Greek Mythology, this constellation comes from the story of the Golden Ram. It all began when King Athamus of Boetia, at Hera’s command, married a woman named Nephele. Nephele was a woman created from a cloud in Hera’s image to trap the centaur Ixion. Out of this union two children were created; a son named Phrixus and a daughter named Helle. After a while Athamus grew tired of Nephele and left her”

In trying to recollect and recreate the story I was telling myself at this time, I think I determined this passage may have been in reference to crossbreeding. Specifically the crossbreeding of an Elephant and a Hippopotamus. I was playing word games with the above names “Athamus” and “Nephele” and came up with Hippopotamus and Elephant. Thought it was an interesting take or interpretation of “marriage\union” with that union bearing children. Annnyways, this led me to researching “potamus”. Not entirely sure why “potamus” interested me, but I ended on the below wiki page with pertinent passage displayed:

Potamos may also refer to:
– an old settlement on the Ionian island of Corfu
– the most populated village on the Ionian island of Kythira

2. From the above ‘Potamos” entry, I found “Ionian Islands” interesting enough that I performed a Google search upon it. See below for link and screenshot of the page:

3. No notes needed for this part. I mean, how do you forget your heart exploding? How do you forgot the moment when something historic washes over you? The pacing. The knee bobbing. The “cmon, it cant be this easy”? Followed by “I now own all your history!!” chants then moar heart explode…heart explode. But alas, those times have passed (#HeartHateIsReal) because now I am not so easily surprised and expect, rather than hope.

In the above screenshot of the Ionian Islands Wiki page, you can see what I saw 2 seconds after the page finished loading. The image of a face amidst the land area depicted in the above picture. “See” the nose. See the mouth right below it. See the eye. The full beard that runs along the bottom. The tip of his hair that curls up. See the face of a man. Below is a more indepth view of this image:

4. Question now is not “is it a face”, we blew right past that part, we are now at “whose face is it?”. Its Greece so I instantly thought Zeus (heart exploding…heart explodes) and started researching this facial image as Zeus. But before I fired up the Google Machine, I wanted to paint our new friends face in. To get a better, clearer picture of whom I would be looking at or for. See below for a crudely “painted” version of this image (remember you’re here for the info not the Art) so you can get a better idea of what I “see” in the above images:

5. Unfortunately, Zeus was injured in the making of that “painting” and was replaced by Poseidon. How or why you ask? See below for the first “Tell” and the reason why. I have also included a Google map image of the same area highlighted.

6. So why Poseidon and not Zeus. Well Zeus is famous for his Thunderbolt whereas Poseidon is famous for his Trident. No Thunderbolt here but hot dam that looks alot like a Trident. And since its Trident-like and not so much Thunderbolt-like, we move forward with Poseidon. See below for a few Historical depictions of Poseidon. Remember now, these may be maps and could then be read as such. But you know this already. Ow and yes you’re aware of the importance in facial positioning. Super. Here are those pics to further reinforce the Trident to Poseidon relationship:

Notice how the head points just about right. His head facing “right” is a repeated and prominent theme in these portrayals. It refers to the positioning of Poseidon’s geographical face. Also notice how the Trident is positioned behind the head with the prongs aligned towards the top of Poseidon’s head. That is another reoccurring theme in these portraits. Finally, look at the above highlights of the Trident area and “see” that it is positioned towards the top, back of this geographical face.

Again, head facing right (like the land image above) and the Trident is aligned behind and above the head. A subtlety that I believe, hints to the positioning of this Trident land feature.

Facing right. Trident behind and towards the top of the head.

And a sculpture image to finish. This one is an excellent representation of the Trident like area highlighted in the map image above. Perfectly says “If you are looking for the Trident land feature, I am positioned at the top, back of Poseidon’s head”. This one is a little to forthcoming but I am glad it is. Makes my job that much easier in trying to prove the facial feature found. Finding these faces is starting to become the easy part. The finding convincing evidence to persuade Joe Public part, well thats the larger challenge here. Its the reason I thank the “Tell” Gods for every little subtle detail or clue they leave behind.

This got long so I am going to stop here and break this into two parts. In this part I found a Geographical land face. In researching this face, I found another geographical land feature that gave this face a name. This land feature was Trident shaped with three prongs. This was a “Tell” sign pointing to Poseidon as the owner of said face. There is one more “Tell” to be told and I will present this in the second part of this installation. But for now this ends here. Part 2 will be up shortly…
